Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa (3,660m)

Fly into Lhasa Gonggar Airport. Upon arrival, meet your Tibetan guide and driver for a transfer to your hotel in Lhasa (about 1 hour). Spend the rest of the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude. Light walking around the hotel area is recommended to ease into the plateau environment.

Day 02: Lhasa Sightseeing – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar

After breakfast, visit the iconic Potala Palace—a 13-story architectural marvel and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its White and Red Palaces, chapels, and tombs of past Dalai Lamas. In the afternoon, head to the sacred Jokhang Temple, Tibet's most revered shrine housing the Jowo Shakyamuni statue. Day 03: Lhasa Sightseeing – Drepung Monastery & Sera Monastery

In the afternoon, explore Sera Monastery, famous for its lively monk debates in the courtyards (typically afternoons). Learn about Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and daily monastic life. Day 04: Lhasa – Yamdrok Lake – Lhasa

Drive south (approx. 2-3 hours) over the scenic Kamba La Pass (4,793m) to Yamdrok Lake (also known as Yamdrok Yumtso), one of Tibet's three sacred holy lakes at 4,441m. Admire its vibrant turquoise waters, shaped like a scorpion or fan, against snow-capped mountains. Enjoy panoramic views, photo stops, and the serene spiritual atmosphere. Day 05: Departure from Lhasa

Enjoy a leisurely morning before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. End of the tour.
